New Album to be Released on October 8, 2023

The Öngtupqa Trio of Clark Tenakhongva, Gary Stroutsos and Matt Moon Nelson are honored to announce the release of their second album: Hon Muru (Bear’s Ears) on October 8, 2023. These songs feature the beautiful Hopi vocals of Clark, accompanied by traditional organic percussion from Matt, and the haunting sounds of the leena (Hopi long flute) played by Gary. Six vocal songs and three instrumentals make Hon Muru an incredible celebration of Bear’s Ears National Monument — a Hopi cultural landscape.
