Interior Secretary Receives Ongtupqa

On September 22, Vice Chairman of the Hopi Tribe Clark Tenakhongva met with Ryan Zinke, Secretary of the Interior, at Grand Canyon National Park. Clark tried to help Secretary Zinke understand the importance of sacred landscapes to Hopi people, including places like Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Canyon National Park, which are managed by the Department of the Interior. After their meeting, Clark gifted a copy of Ongtupqa to Secretary Zinke. Hopefully the music and message are heard and felt all the way in Washington, D.C.
